These herniae develops below and medial to the inguinal herniae site in the groin. These herniae are prone to strangulation and may present in the obstructed or strangulated form as a painful, irreducible and tender bulge.

Women are more prone to develop a Femoral Herniae than men.

Treatment is surgery.
